Founded by Sam and Glenn who starred their careers as professional dancers with renowned companies such the prestigious Rambert and The Royal Ballet, the Movement Base aims to to help people reduce pain, move better and feel better in an environment where they can feel special and looked after. The challenge was make the site to work with the couple’s business model, which incorporates their massage therapist and pilates practices. This demanded spaces which could be configured and reconfigured around classes a range of classes, while including calm spaces fro massage therapy and hangout spaces for before and after class. Lighting, materials and branding were all important for creating the right atmosphere for guests. Our solution was to provide a series of flexible, soft boundaries; light permeable, wooded slatted screens and curtains.
